Raw materials suitable for wood pallet feet pier production:

1. Suitable raw materials are wood shavings, sawdust, and scraps. The minimum blending ratio is wood shavings accounting for more than 30%.
2. Wood shavings are the best raw material. The production of pure wood chips uses a large amount of glue and the strength of the product is not as high as that of wood shavings.
3. The moisture content of raw materials should be controlled within 12%.
4. The shape of the raw material is best to be a wooden sheet as thin as a paper sheet within 3-5 cm, or crushed wood chips can also be used.

2.  Wet sawdust/chips/shavings Solution ----------Dryer
The sawdust dryer is to continuously add powdery wet sawdust into the drying pipe by using a screw conveyor. In the transportation and dispersion of high-speed hot air flow, the water in the wet material is evaporated to obtain powdery or granular dry products. It is mainly composed of air heater, feeder, air drying pipe, cyclone separator, fan and so on.

3.  Glue Mixer --- a machine for mixing glue and wood sawdust/shavings:

The commonly used glue in China is "urea-formaldehyde glue" in liquid form. Ingredients: urea and formaldehyde, solid content not less than 55%.
The time to stir the wood is 1-2 minutes, and the stirred wood cannot be used the next day.
The ratio of glue to raw material is 16%, 1000kg raw material to 160kg glue.

4. Wood pallet foot piers/leg/block hot press making machine: 
The raw materials are put into the crusher to be crushed into wood shavings, dried in the dryer, glued by the glue mixing machine, and then hydraulically formed by the abrasive tool of the hot press machine, and extruded into pallet foot products, then cut into required block length.

FAQ

When the wood chip pier machine is pressing the wood shavings, sometimes it will not form, and the pressed pier is very loose, or even pressed out of shape. What is the reason? ?

The reason why the sawdust pier is not formed can be seen from two or three aspects.
   One is the raw material, the other is the glue, and the third is the hot pressing time.
1. Raw material problem
One is the moisture content of the raw material. The moisture content of raw materials is a very, very important indicator. The water content is generally required to be below 10%. Of course, this value is not absolute, and different raw materials have different requirements.
The second is the mixing ratio. If it is a mixed material, the mixing ratio of various components will also affect the molding rate.
2. Glue
The glue factor. Generally, liquid urea-formaldehyde glue is used. The main ingredients are urea and formaldehyde, and the water content is relatively high. It needs to be customized with a solid content of more than 55%.
3. Hot pressing time
heat stress factor. Adjusting the machine clearance is a technical job, you can consult our technical staff. The hot pressing time and temperature are determined according to the moisture content of the raw material. Generally, the time is controlled within 10s, and the temperature is controlled between 120-180°C.
